16th Airsoft Player Choice Awards are coming up and I have a few suggestions from my side.
While it would be awesome to be nominated again for my efforts in the airsoft community, it’s more important to have a voice from the community to send in as much nomination forms as possible to create the best representation of airsoft. I will make a post of all my nominations again but here are a few of my things that I have been working on in 2025 and I if you agree, I would love to get your vote on them.
Best Airsoft Community/Forum
Airsofter World (www.airsofter.world) is the international community where all branches in our airsoft community come together without borders or bubbles. Its unique concept, that is thriving for a stronger and bigger airsoft community, will grow into the goto place for players, organisers, shops and manufactureres.
With a connection with over 35 countries and 22 airsoft associations we create the biggest foundation ever seen in our community. The 3 layer concept works, in the front for the players and in the back to create that massive backbone that our community needs.

This video took my many, many, many hours to complete and it reflects how Berget was through my eyes and that of my 175 people big company. It brings you as a viewer in my shoes on the biggest airsoft event in Sweden.
Berget 20, The biggest game in Sweden and this is my and my Companies story!
It’s a big one, 7 parts of Berget videos combined into one big movie. A memory of the 175 players big company, Papa Company. It’s a story with highs and lows during 66h of gameplay and almost a year of prep work. This was my 8th Berget and 2nd time as company commander and I learned a lot.
Berget is a 66h airsoft game in the Northern part of Sweden. The sun doesn’t really set which creates a weird thing mentally and physically. The group of people that are around you are all there for the same reason, having a good time and crushing the enemy. This provides a perfect setting for an amazing game.

Best Airsoft Podcast or Video Channel
I still hope that one day Popular Airsoft will split this in 2 categories to give the podcast scene a chance in a video dominated category.
I touched on this in the previous category, where I feel that airsoft videos are missing dept. With my channel I create what I feel is missing, not what the social systems want me to create to earn the most likes or views. Depth in videos is missing and is being replaced by 15 sec clips and that is a trend that I don’t like.
Going to a game and meeting a person that comes up to you and says ‘Thank you for making your video, it made me buy this ticket and it was exactly like you said it was’, is the best compliment I can get. I create airsoft videos, I create my story as it happened, not a fabricated truth for entertainment value.
Besides the gameplay, I test and perfect my gear to the max and give a reasoning why things work or not. It’s not a fast process but it’s an honest one.

Special Airsoft Player Award (Male)
Airsoft is more than shooting the other guy, I’ve said it before and I will keep saying it. It’s a community that I love and where I divert all my energy into. While I mostly stayed on the background for years, I now step more into the light and show the work I’m doing. This award is special because you nominated someone that contributed to the airsoft community and I believe that I’m that person. I break down a few things I have been working on in the last months/years.
Verage Airsoft – The Video creator
With the above categories explaining what I do and where I want to go with my channel, shows my take on the airsoft community and where things are missing. My focus is on the actual airsoft and creating a deeper connection with the why, what and who.
A Verage Event – The Organiser
Stepping away from the usual games by creating a bridge between ‘competitors’ and organizing special purpose games that are more than just ‘shooting the other guy’. Honest and clear information shared to players and fulfilling expectations. I started organising in 2006 and stepped it up 10 levels with the move to Sweden.
Airsofter World Rob – The Community builder
In the past year, I created the biggest airsoft connection, for now. I’m still reaching out to more countries, more organisers, more associations and federations and to more companies to connect the dots and answer the questions. Airsoft is a small community and because of that we need to stand strong together to counter and help where needed. By working together and communication, airsoft will grow into a bigger and tighter community which will only benefit our beloved hobby/sport.
Robrecht AAB – The Association fighter
While shooting is fancy and interesting, being able to keep the ways we have today, requires people in the background to keep an eye on what is coming and being ready to fight it if needed. I joined AAB (Belgian Airsoft Association) in 2014 to do just that. Even now in Sweden I keep supporting AAB with the knowledge, expertise and determination to explain the use of an entity, fighting for our hobby. It’s easy to forget when everything goes smooth. Once the shit start hitting the fan, then people need it. Keeping the ball rolling in those ‘good times’ requires people with a passion for the game. This will be my last year as board member of AAB but I continue my work in Sweden.
In 2025 we created SASF, the Swedish Airsoft Federation. A collection of regional associations combining forces to elevate airsoft to the next level. The first steps have been done and now we slowly walk forward and grow, step by step.
I don’t stop there, with the Airsofter World network we’re building an European Airsoft Federation to counter the coming and existing legislation that might endanger our hobby. EAF has become a energy sucking baby but brought me amazing people in over 20 countries that are fighting for airsoft. Together we are strong and will connect this amazing community worldwide.
Verage – The Helping Hand
Wherever I can I jump in to help and use the experience and skills I gained over the years. I respect each part in our community and I am open to try new things. It’s something that I want to do and I need to do. It’s the person who I am and that will not easily change. I have a passion for airsoft in all types of forms because of what it can do for a person. Seeing those smiling, exhausted faces is all worth it.
Special Airsoft Player Award (Female)
The only category that I listed now that isn’t about me. But a place that is deserved for my better half, Lisa.
Her dedication and fighting spirit is unmatched. The struggles don’t stop her to speak out and reach her following about hard and difficult topics. Topics that bring people into our hobby/sport and giving them a place where they feel understood. A place where they can be whoever they want to be without having to hide behind the everyday mask.
The hard times come and go. They come easily but they don’t go away easily. By having a support around you, a group that accepts without questions is sometimes needed to crawl out of the deepest pits.
Lisa is a inspirations for people, also for me. Her determination and way of looking at life might be not the same as yours but it’s an honest and fair one. We need more people like that so every person she inspires to be part of our amazing community, is an amazing asset to our hobby/Sport.
