How to configure your Eshooter Smoky tracer

First the tracer,

Make sure your smoky tracer is charged and ready to go. Tap the tracer and it should flash from the front. That means it woke up and everything is ready to be connected. If it doesn’t wake up by shaking or tapping, press the M button on the back and it will flash.

Second the app,

Download the Eshooter app. The app is the same for all Eshooter products. So also for their mosfets, sentry and tracers. Open the app and you can choose to create an account or not. I should create one but I keep postponing it and everything works without an account too.

For the smoky tracer, tap, ‘Flare Smoky’, it will start searching your tracer. Make sure on the tracer the back light is blinking, then you know it’s awake and it shows up in the list.

Yes, you can name your tracer.

On the top you have the type of tracer, the history, what device it’s connected to and the battery of the tracer.

It opens up on the active page. This shows the chrono page with on the top the bb weight you use. Tap it to change it. Beside that you can set a muzzle warning. I said in the previous video it might beep or something but it just shows the shots that are over this warning in red in the list. On the right, that’s the settings, we’ll come to that.

Below that you have your measurements, average, min and max. By tapping the unit that for speed, rate of fire and joule output. Below that there is the shot counter, it shows the current shots and all the shots you have done while using the tracer.

And then you have the option to list all the current shots in a table or graph. This is only for the current shots. It doesn’t work on all the total shots because the app needs to be open to see the measurements to come in.

The Save and Clear button, I’m not 100% sure what they do and I haven’t had the need to use it. But I assume it’s to save your list or clear it to empty the list.

Settings,

Allright, next up, settings, where the color magic happens.

First, here you can set the name for your tracer. Mine is called Smoky McTracer.

Chronograph only, that disables all the color and just acts as a chrono.

Muzzle smoke, turn it on or off here. I noticed that sometimes my tracers resets and then I need to enable the smoke again here. You can choose the low or high smoke amount. I have been using it in the low and that’s perfect for me. It catches the flash perfectly and it doesn’t use a lot of liquid. I haven had to top up the liquid yet. You can see the fuel statistics below it.

Next up, mode selection
Muzzle flash only, tracer with muzzle flash, tracer only or tracer ratio. Depending on the mode, options become available. The flash, give you all the color options, tracer gives you the sensor test mode and tracer ratio lets you choose the bbs to be traced.

Muzzle flash, Single color, that’s one solid color. You have a full color wheel to chose from or choose one of the predefined colors and set your brightness. I use the full brightness, because it’s awesome.

Dynamic color, color change over time. Set the time on how long a color needs to last and change the color order. You can use the predefined colors to do that. Just tap the color and choose another one. Here you can also set the brightness.

Tracer, there is the sensor test mode, I need to figure out what it does. I didn’t find it yet.

Tracer Ratio, set the bbs you want to have traced. You can go from every other bbs to 1 bb per 10 shots. A really interesting night mode. It would have been fun to have this ratio option also separate. So you can have it with the muzzle flash and smoke. That would be perfect for night games.

At the bottom you can reset everything back to standard settings. It does not ask for confirmation to do that, just so you know.

The app has been really responsive and worked great every time I used it.
