The year is 2022 and during a trip to Poland, I had the chance to visit Perun Mosfets. I got a tour of their facilities, ideas and the people behind Perun Mosfets and from that moment on, I was a fan.
At that point I knew what mosfets were and why it was interesting to add them to your rifle but I never played around with it. Years later, I still don’t understand the magic that goes on in those little white boards but it works and it makes my rifles goes pew in the most satisfying way.
The People
Passion for perfection, that’s a quote that fits perfectly with the people behind Perun Mosfet. The conversations we had over the years shows how they develop their boards and accessorizes not only to perform to perfection but also the installation process, the manuals, the customer service and everything involving in communication shows that passion for their creations.
2 stories are edged in my brain forever. Seeing the smile on their face when they showed me their new prototype for the P90 that could sing the Belgian anthem. As a Belgian, that was amazing. The second is holding their personal DMR rifle and feel the first prototype of the clicker. That satisfying click stayed with me in my mind until the first clickers became available and I could have my very own clicker.
Our airsoft community need more people like this and I’m glad to call them friends.
The Products
That clicker resembles and important aspect of their vision to create that experience for the player. At the time nobody talked about a feature like that. It wasn’t for the masses, it was a niche product for a small group of people that would enjoy that special feeling. The smiles on the faces of people when I gave them my rifle to test that ‘click’, that is what Perun does.
The clickers work in combination with their signature white board mosfets. The mosfets have features I was missing on other mosfets. Again the thinking process of the creators showed that they know what they are doing and build something to make it as easy as possible to use for everyone. Here are some of my favorite features
- Independent programming for both selector positions (semi/full auto)
- Superb diagnostic system with multi-color led and clear manual
- All in mosfet programming, no phone or connector needed
- High quality wires to route easily in the gearbox
- Program & diagnostic stickers
That last one, the stickers, that shows again that they know what they doing. Programming this in the field doesn’t need a card or website. You just check the sticker that is attached to your rifle. You always have it with you.
One last thing, in one of their clickers they provide an extra spring because they know that you might lose one by being clumsy. You can say that they don’t trust your skills but when I was thinking that, I lost the spring and couldn’t find it anymore. Luckily they included a second one in the package. They know airsofters in and out because that’s what they are.
The Company
Perun is a Polish company established in 2016 and proud of everything they do and how they do it. Everything is done in house as you can see on the video I made in 2022. They have control over every step in the process which gives you the best quality control possible.
The family like atmosphere when I stepped into their company was something I had never felt before when going to a company.
The Partner
Over the years we kept in touch and shared ideas about the world of airsoft. Those ideas usually aligned and if not we had a respectful conversation about it. When receiving products for testing I was always able to give my feedback that take took improve their products and manuals. I always enjoyed making videos about their products, because I like what they do and bring to our community and I want to share to everyone the joy I have with their products.
