UNBOXING (2020)

It’s finally here, the ICS CXP ARK!

I have been waiting for this one for months and it finally arrived. I’m so excited to open the box and to see and feel this new design. Thank you to ICS for sending this model to me and thank you UNIT13 for getting it to me.

FEATURES (2020)

The ICS ARK is a beast!

How do you change the spring, is it easy to do?

Those are questions I got from players that tested it out. Instead of telling everyone how to do it, I told them I would make a video about it. This is something I like a lot, people asking me things and I can make a video about it. That way, if people get to the point they need to know something, they can find this video. It’s nothing special, just showing you how to take the ARK apart and putting it back together again.

The tools you need are the following:
Flat head screwdriver 5.5×1.0
Phillips head screwdriver PH1
Allen key 5mm (for spring change)

MAG COMPATIBILITY (2020)

The search for the right mag, what fits, what shoots, … . We’ve all been there.
That is why I tried out some different mags on the ICS – CXP ARK.

In this video I test 2 different things:
1) Does it fit?
What means, does the mag click into place and how much play is on the mag.

2) Does it shoot?
It can fit, but how is the feeding. I test this in single shot and full auto.

MAG COMPATIBILITY (UPDATE) (2021)

The search for the right mag continues.

After testing a lot of the stock mags, I still did not found what I’m looking for. I’m a fan of the newer modern looking mags, that don’t break the bank. So I found some cheaper Cyma mags but they did not fit, so I made them fit.

ICS ARK MAG 30/50 BBs (2024)

How to adjust the ICS AK low/mid cap from 50 to 30 bbs, or the other way around.

A questions that I got and it was not very clear to actually change the internal capacity. You can find that you need to turn left or right, but nowhere is stated that you also need to push it before turning. So I made a small video to show how it works.

ONE YEAR LATER (2022)

I have been using the ICS CXP ARK for 1 year now and it’s time to look back on the things I like or didn’t like. I will also show the things I changed to make it fit my needs.

Doing the ‘One year later’ videos is something that I like to do because after a year of playing I can tell my personal opinion about the rifle, not just the data that is out there on the internet. That is also the reason why you don’t see a lot of different rifle reviews.

I can tell you this, the ICS CXP ARK is one that I will be using for a little bit more.

PERUN MOSFET UPGRADE (2022)

Installing the Perun V3 Hybrid was a lot of fun. It was my first mosfet installation and it is was so easy that I want to do it again.
Perun has made an amazing manual to follow and if you do just that, everything will work out.

In this video I follow along the manual while installing the mosfet. I go over the things that were easy and some things that I had to think twice.

PAINT THE ARK (2022)

Airsoft is a lot about how you look. Your rifle is one part of that outfit that needs to fit the part. Painting your rifle is also to camouflage it, when needed. For me it’s a bit of both. Trying to make it look cool and useful.

I have my way of painting my rifles and in this video I will show you how. This is technique that can be used on all different kind of items, not only rifles.

This is my first 2 tone rifle and I’m happy with the result!

PERUN CLICKER UPDATE (2024)

Bring out your AK or UMP,

The Perun V3 Clicker is here. Change the way your trigger feels.

It changes your rifle experience completely. You know when the shot is going to go off because you need to breach that little wall to fire. The pre travel distance makes it possible to get ready for the shot and as soon as you’re ready, you can take it.

It works together with the Perun V3 Hybrid, which is a perfect mosfet for any rifle. Simple and it does the trick perfectly. It has some benefits that other mosfets don’t have. Also, it plays songs if you do it correctly.

In this video I go over how to install the Clicker in your rifle. Spoilers, it’s super easy.
