Swiss Arms – AdaptX – Universal holster

Short Description

The Swiss Arms Universal Holster offers versatility for different pistols, though I chose it over another option due to its features and sturdiness. The holster accommodates both left and right-handed users, with adjustable angles for comfort. Despite the initial setup time, the holster securely fits various pistols, requiring minor adjustments. I tested it with my pistols, finding it protective and functional during gameplay. Priced at 35 euros, it’s recommended for those seeking a reliable, budget-friendly option, despite its unattractive color options.

Review

A holster that fits different pistols

I needed a holster for my new ICS BLE XMK. I’m a big fan of a certain holster for a certain pistol because then it’s made for each other and it fits really well. I was a bit sceptical about universal holsters, but now I had to take the jump.

The first thing I did was searching for the correct universal holster and I came out on 2 options. The Warrior Assault system Universal holster and the Swiss arms Universal Holster.

I choose, as you can see, for the Swiss Arms one and in this overview I’ll tell you why.

In the box you get

  • The holster
  • The manual
  • 2x allen key
  • Extra parts

Features

Left and Right handed, the holster is made for left and right handed people, you can just swing the holster to the other side if you want that. But, be aware, if you’re an active player, like me and you bump your holster into things. You will be stuck with the choice you made. The connection get’s damaged really easily. A solution for that is to make a cover the covers up the teeth. Well it’s to late for me, I will keep this on my right side.

Because of the system with the teeth you can pivot the holster in the angle that you feel most comfortable with. There are also different carrying options. I use the belt/pants thing but you can buy extra options as the dropbelt thing, I’m a fan of that but I first wanted to test the holster itself, molle attachment and normal belt attachment. Another reason why I bought this one and not the WAS one. The WAS has loops to attach to molle and I that is not as sturdy as having it clipped over your inner belt.

And maybe before we go any further, I want to say something about the colors. It comes in different colors but they are all ugly. It doesn’t fit with anything else in the same ‘color’. So I will paint this, that’s for sure. There are a few options available. Green, Tan and grey.

The release for the pistol is in a comfortable place and is easy to use.

The documentations says that it fits over 200 different pistols. I don’t have 200 different models, but I have a few. So I will test the ones I have.

It takes a bit of time to make it fit, so here we go. I will explain you the process on the first one and then the other pistols are the same.

So you open up the screws, yes, I’m missing one, more about that later. When the pistol slides in you can start closing them down to add tension to the pistol. It’s always a bit of fiddeling to make it fit. For my XMK I even had to remove one of the pins to make it fit. But you still have enough screws to keep it together.

Once you found the correct configuration, use a bit of glue to keep the screw in place. Because there is no spring to keep tension on the screws, so if one of them is a bit loose, you will lose it, like I did. So I will have to replace that with something else.

I already did some games with it and I like how it handles. The pistol is well protected because the thing that holds the pistol is a bit bigger than the WAS universal holster. That is another reason why I choose this one.

I payed 35 euro for this holster, this may vary depending on the country you live in.

Final thoughts

So If you’re looking for a good universal holster for a good price with an ugly color, I advice you this one. It does the trick for me. If that changes during the use, I will make an update video about it. If not, I will keep using it until it breaks.
