Happy New Year!
We wish all players an exciting and airsoft-filled 2025 with small, medium, large and huge airsoft games, new gear and equipment, happy faces and a lot of running in buildings, woodland and anything in between.
In 2025 we want to keep growing step by step and continue our quest to unite airsoft all around the world.
Here are the last month’s updates and a few of our future projects.
Airsofter World Games
2024 recap, Belgium and Sweden hosted their successful test games. All players had a good time and are looking forward to the 2025 games. Portugal and Netherlands will also join in 2025 with test games in the first quarter and an official game later in 2025.
We’re on track for a first international event in 2026. We still have a lot of work ahead of us to spread the word about the games and build relationships along the way. 2025 will be a year of growing awareness of the Airsofter World Games, have more games, test games and connect with partners in and outside the airsoft industry.
A few months ago we released the extra Airsofter World Games website, the place to find all the information about rules, games, partners and teams. Later this will be fully integrated into Airsofter World. Check out the website here www.games.airsofter.world .
We are happy to announce that the Sweden and Portuguese games will provide livestreams and of course that information will be shared on the website.
The 2025 rulebook is ready and online on the website. Download the rulebook for easy reading or find the rules you are looking for on the website.
The Dutch test game will feature a variation of the game. This sandbox type of competition creates an opportunity for all creative organisers to give their touch to the games while still maintaining the Airsofter World Games standard of events, focused on mission based team work.

Slovakia on a roll
Creating connections is key to Airsofter World. In the background we keep growing the network and finding the right people. Airsofter World opens up communication between different parties in a country. These talks sometimes lead to cooperation between those parties. This strengthens the Airsoft Community and leads to growth and stability. Airsofter World is a tool to connect people but it’s up to the countries themselves to move forward and that is what is happening.
Good job and keep up the good work.
Besides that, the players in Slovakia find their way to Airsofter World which shows in the analytics, a bit lower in this update.
Airsofter World provides support to the airsoft community as a neutral partner with only one goal, to strengthen and grow the airsoft community with all the tools we have available.
European Airsoft Federation
We are moving forward, slowly. Creating a steady foundation with that many partners is not an easy process. We did receive a roadmap with milestones to complete the process in 2025 and have a European legal entity for airsoft.
The last months we worked on the details of the statutes and kept the communication flowing through all the partners.
We’re looking forward to sharing more news after the upcoming meeting in January.
Analytics
The last months we saw an increase in activity in a few countries, while others were stable. We compare the update from September and December 2024.
You can see a big jump of activity in Slovakia. Airsoft usually dips a bit in winter time but because of the push in Slovakia the numbers stayed roughly the same.
We’re at 11722 users and growing steady at about 1% of users each month. A steady growth is important for the stability of Airsofter World.
End of the year AW ranking
At the end of each year, Airsofter World provides a player ranking. No, this is not to show the ‘best’ player or the one that got the most ‘likes’ on blogs or pictures. It’s a ranking of the most active players, using the Airsofter World registration system.
Each time to sign up for an event, and show up, you receive some points. Depending on the event parameters, you get more points. This event index is visible on each event.
Each player gets 10 points for each game. If the game is outside of your area, you get 5 extra points. When the player amount of the event rises over 20, you get double the amount of points. The last variable is the length of the game. The longer the game, the more points you get.
With this system we want to push players to try different locations outside of their comfort zone and discover new styles of events, players, organisers and teams.
This year we managed to find partners in 2 different countries to provide a mystery package to the first 5 players in the ranking. It’s a cherry on the cake of an Airsofter World connection between players, organisers and shops.
In Sweden 5 players got a gift from Frysen Airsoft (https://www.frysenairsoft.se/) and in Belgium AirsoftShop (https://www.airsoftshop.be/) provided the gifts.
We contacted the top players on their Airsofter World accounts for more information.
Funding
We have some upcoming updates lined up for 2025. As soon as the funds are available the event section and blog section are the first priorities to receive an update. Besides the main updates we have a list of send in suggestions that all got a priority given and rolled out as soon as the budget allows it.
Those updates are possible because of the support of Airsoft companies. You can find those companies on the community page top banner. We look forward to an ongoing partnership in 2025.
